Terms & Conditions

The terms on which TGPP Autocare Ltd provides vehicle repair and maintenance services.

1. About Us

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our services and this website. By booking a service or using our website, you agree to these terms.

2. Bookings and Appointments

Bookings can be made online, by phone or via WhatsApp. When you book, you are making a request for us to carry out the specified work — we will confirm your appointment as soon as possible.

  • No payment is required at the time of booking
  • We will confirm your appointment by phone, email or message
  • We ask that you give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange
  • Late or no-show arrivals may result in your slot being reallocated
  • We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion

3. Estimates and Quotations

We provide upfront pricing wherever possible. The following applies to all estimates and quotations:

  • A written or verbal estimate is our best assessment based on the information available at the time
  • A fixed quotation is a firm price for the agreed scope of work only
  • If additional work is found to be necessary, we will always contact you before proceeding — with photo evidence of any faults found
  • No additional work will be carried out without your approval
  • Estimates and quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated

⚠️ Parts prices may vary if there is a significant delay between quote and booking. We will notify you of any changes before starting work.


4. Our Work and Parts

All work carried out at TGPP Autocare is subject to the following:

  • We use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or quality OEM-equivalent parts as standard
  • Where a specific part is requested by the customer, we cannot guarantee the same warranty coverage applies
  • All labour and parts are covered by a 12-month guarantee from the date of completion, subject to the conditions below
  • Our guarantee covers defects in workmanship or faulty parts supplied by us
  • The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, further mechanical failure unrelated to our work, or failure to follow any aftercare advice we provide
  • We are an RAC Approved Garage — all work meets the standards required for that accreditation

5. Vehicle Condition and Liability

When you leave your vehicle with us, please be aware of the following:

  • We take reasonable care of all vehicles left in our custody, but we accept no liability for pre-existing damage not noted on your job sheet
  • We recommend removing personal belongings from your vehicle before leaving it with us
  • We are not responsible for loss or damage to items left in the vehicle
  • We may need to road-test your vehicle as part of the diagnostic or repair process — by leaving your vehicle with us, you consent to this
  • We carry public liability and motor trade insurance covering your vehicle while it is in our care

If a vehicle is left with us for longer than 48 hours after being declared ready for collection without prior agreement, we reserve the right to charge a storage fee.


6. Payment

Payment is due on collection of your vehicle unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance.

  • We accept cash, card payments and bank transfer
  • 0% interest-free finance is available through PaymentAssist — subject to approval and their own terms
  • We reserve the right to retain possession of your vehicle until payment has been made in full (a mechanic's lien)
  • Invoices not paid within 14 days of the date shown may be subject to a late payment charge

7. MOT Testing

MOT tests are carried out under DVSA regulations. Please note:

  • An MOT test result is a legal assessment of roadworthiness at the time of testing — it is not a guarantee of future reliability
  • We will advise you of any advisories noted during the test, but you are under no obligation to have advisory work carried out by us
  • If a vehicle fails its MOT, we will explain what is needed to bring it to pass standard. Any remedial work is subject to a separate quotation
  • We cannot guarantee an MOT slot for a vehicle that arrives significantly late for its appointment

8. Wet Belt and Specialist Services

For specialist services such as wet belt (belt-in-oil) replacements:

  • Fixed prices stated on our website are for standard replacement on the engine type specified, with the vehicle in accessible condition
  • If complications are discovered during the job (e.g. seized bolts, secondary damage, additional components required), we will contact you before any additional cost is incurred
  • Specialist services require the vehicle to be booked in advance — we cannot carry out wet belt replacements on a walk-in basis
  • We use the correct specification parts and tooling for each wet belt application

9. Remapping and ECU Tuning

Engine remapping and ECU tuning services are subject to additional terms:

  • Remapping may affect your manufacturer warranty — it is your responsibility to check with your manufacturer or insurer before booking
  • DPF delete services are only carried out on vehicles that will not be used on public roads and in full compliance with UK law — we do not carry out road-illegal modifications
  • We accept no liability for any changes to your vehicle's insurance status resulting from remapping work
  • Remap files are supplied by SCC Tuning (Quantum Tuning network) — their terms also apply where relevant

10. Website Use

Your use of our website (tgpp-autocare.com) is subject to the following:

  • The content on this website is for general information only and is subject to change without notice
  • Prices shown are indicative — the confirmed price for your vehicle will be provided at the time of booking or on inspection
  • We make every effort to ensure accuracy but cannot guarantee the website is free of errors at all times
  • Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only — we are not responsible for their content or terms
  • You may not copy, reproduce or redistribute content from this website without our prior written consent

11. Complaints

We take complaints seriously. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible:

  • Call us on 01438 232556 or speak to Tom or Pat directly
  • We will aim to acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days
  • We will aim to resolve all complaints within 14 days
  • As an RAC Approved Garage, you may also contact the RAC if your complaint relates to our approved status

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
